It seems that for the Zootaxa from yeasr 2014 the figure repair did not work well. I will add more when I find them.

Right ... B&W inversion correction was a bit too trigger-happy at some point. Has been added more restrictions a good while ago, though. I'll see how we can repair those.

Re-triggered figure repair for the broken ones, and it looks like it worked this time. Could be there was some problem in the first round, some exception that has been fixed since, some error on the Zenodo end, or the documents were checked out when repair got past them.

I've run the repair on deposition 283531, and it is fine now.

The repair for deposition 270111 took a good while, as this is a 120MB PDF with over 1,000 (!) embedded bitmap images - quite a stretch, but should be OK now (I could only sample through the images due to their sheer number).

The figures in deposition 208960 look pretty much OK to me, maybe safe for the large frame around Figure 4, but that's due to the somewhat strange layout.

The figures in deposition 157259 are perfectly fine ... if you spotted a broken one, please let me know whick.

you have a glimppse at the images using zenodeo: http://zenodeo.punkish.org/examples and search for Araneae

you then find, that the images are still not fixed - or may be I have them all cashed here?

This is not a cache issue ... the depositions with the broken images still exist, but the article deposition links to a replacement deposition that has the repaired images, as do the IMFs and treatments.

We might have to find a way of flagging down these replaced depositions, or change the repair to using versioning instead of replacement.

so it means figure repair creates new deposits. Should we then ask Lars to remove the broken deposits to avoid creating duplicates?

I've triggered the repair. Might take a while for the repaired figures to show up on Zenodo, though, as the uploader is busy with today's backlog right now.

This is becoming an endless issue that will never resolve ... like the 730 blog in communications. Please simply reopen it when you find something else, I don't like these sitters on my list which I can do whatever about without any chance of them ever going away.
