@myrmoteras @tcatapano Are these quidelines finalized or we may expect (significant) changes?
these are the guidelines from EJT. I don't think there will be many changes. In the next few month we are testing their implementation, both on the side of EJT (they are creating publications in this style) and we are testing a new version of GGI that allows to extract the MC at a higher precision
Are there any restrictions or special requirements for using this style, e .g. copyright/ownership? Or they are created by Plazi to be used by journals who want to?
@myrmoteras @guidosautter If Pensoft tests the styling in some of our journals when you think would be able to test how occurrence records are mined/extracted from our XML?
I don't think there will be restrictions, rather the opposite, also in the spirit of the Mobilise publishing WP where we hope to achieve something in this direction. See also the forthcoming meeting in Sofia organized by Stefano. I am going to talk to Laurence and let you know formally
Very good. We shall participate the data publishing work group in Sofia. It would be the right place to demonstrate this and make a kind of statement.
ok - go ahead, and let's make this guidelines, and may be others, as part of the Mobilise output
Thanks, it looks wise to do that way.
Closing. Not a TaxPub issue per se and seems resolved anyway
Still may we put in the guidelines a list/table of the separation symbols (including males/females symbols) used in the Materials citations with their ISO/ASCII codes to avoid disambiguity in using these? It was a useful comment on that from one of our editors.
@myrmoteras @guidosautter Is there already a convention which separation symbol to use for dividing materials citations from each other within the Material citations sections?
