adding custom metadata for audubon core terms #168

@slint here another request to add custom metadata to BLR/Zenodo.

These terms describe the parts in general terms of an organism, and the orientation on the image. Such as lateral view of the head.

These terms are needed for the upload of the Fabricius types, and more in general specimen images, be it as digital copies of a physical specimen like the Fabricius, be it also in figures from publications.

Let me add my two cents as I was in the meeting as well: the alternative to this multi-language support that Steve is asking is to present an external link to resolve not only the property terms, but also, their values, since they are controlled and will resolve to a page with their version in multiple languages.

It's like having this icon with a link for the values too, since they are also controlled.

Honestly, I felt like you would be more inclined into this direction than the other, presented in Steve's files.

Hi Donat,

Yes, that is correct. Zenodo is already replacing labels for compact IRIs for the properties. If they replaced the Audubon Core term properties with labels but did not replace the controlled values with labels, the display would look like this:

Subject Part: wholeOrganism

If they replaced the controlled values with English labels, the display would look like this:

Subject Part: whole organism

If they supported multilingual labels for properties but did not replace controlled values with labels, the display could look like this for Chinese:

主题部分: wholeOrganism

If they substituted multilingual labels for the values as well, the display could look like this:

主题部分: 整个生物

This is what I thought I was saying in the text, but it may have not been clear. If you think this example helps clarify, you are welcome to forward it to them.
