I looked at the plant species Plazi contributed to the GBIF Backbone in November 2022. There are 3288 plant names incl 2641 species coming from Plazi that are under the Plantae kingdom.
Looking through the first 100 and checking their dataset title this seems often unlikely that these are plants. FOr some reason many animal names get classified as plants. Maybe also vice versa, I haven't checked.
Here is one example I checked in detail, Paracaridilophus retusus from 2011
Including only the classification as given in the article would help to reduce these many errors that come from wrong interpretation.
