Headphone autodetection for bytcr-5640? #12

i know this might never happen but is there any possibility for the autodetection to work? for now i have to switch between IN1 and headset mic capture to have any audio output

inputs and outputs are independent, I don't get what you are doing or asking for

hmm, my bad, ignore the first post. anyways, what i am trying to figure out is if headphone detection will ever work, so not to have to change the output everytime one switches to or from them

there were patches in the past but they were never merged and they are probably too ugly to submit upstream. You can view one PR on my sound repository from Paco Mendez, If you have time to rebase/fix I can help but I can't work directly on this, other more important things to do...
