What streaming protocol does Plex for Kodi use? #247

I'm sorry to keep bothering you @ruuk but I see no easy way to get answers to these kind of questions. If there's a better way please let me know. Thank you enormously for the 3D fix. It has helped me so much.

What kind of streaming protocol does PFK use? Is it WSS I.e. Websockets? Does it use plex.direct paths or IP based?

How are the streams packaged when sent from remote servers?

IIRC the http protocol is used. As for the plex.direct stuff: I'll dig and come back to you with an answer.

plex.direct is used by P4K if possible.
