4K movies continuously buffer on local LAN #263

Description: all 4K movies will direct play but will play for awhile and then buffer continuously. Same movie plays without issue on Kodi and Plex for Android app on Nvidia Shield. Buffering only occurs in the Plex addon for Kodi

It appears the issue is resolved with this branch (https://github.com/pannal/plex-for-kodi/archive/pr_playback_fixes.zip) just had to rename the contents of the linked zip file to scripts.plex, navigate to the kodi addons folder on the shield and replace the scripts.plex folder and videos play fine now. For anyone doing this you need to disable automatic updates of the addon.

Hello,

From going to the website you posted , I see its a different developer that forked over the offical app, however i cant seem to find a way to download that github updates as it seems to fix issues that the main plex github has. So where do i find pannal repo or there fixes in the future?

Hello, I linked directly to the download but for some reason it doesn't seem to work, here is the link to the page where I found the link (https://github.com/plexinc/plex-for-kodi/issues/224) I apologize that it didn't work, it appears when I insert a link it doesn't appear to work. Just follow the link or go to issue 224 and scroll down near the bottom of the page or do a page search for "this branch" and you'll find it. As for updates I'm not sure, it seems the developer that posted the link is who is maintaining it but there doesn't appear to have been a commit for at least a year. Hope this helps
