On episode playback end, automatic playback of next episode skips an episode. #322

Description:

When an episode playback ends naturally, the next episode in sequence should be played. However, Plex for Kodi skips an episode sometimes. Ie. Episode 40 ends, instead of Episode 41 automatically queueing up and playing, it is skipped and Episode 42 starts playing instead.

I've experienced this too, same app versions and also on ShieldTV.

I have auto-play next episode disabled, but can still reproduce consistently:

  1. When watching an episode, say ep 1, click the next track (⯈❙) button towards the end of the episode (in the zone that Plex would consider the episode watched).
  2. Ep 2 will play. Again towards the end of the episode, click next track.
  3. Ep 4 will play, skipping ep 3.

Even if you didn't click next on step 2, and instead stop playback, the "Playing Next" screen also will show as ep 4 to play next.
