PMP 2:11: Audio Player: HDMI audio switches PCM to "zero channels" and back between tracks #749

Test environment

PMS Version:Version 1.13.1.5063 PMP Version:2.11.1.870-4af5a622 **Platform (Windows/OSX/Embedded):Windows 10 Build 1803

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use PMP on Windows 10 connected to audio receiver with PCM over HDMI capability, playback album in music library

Current Behavior

  1. At the end of the track, or when pressing "next", the receiver receives no more PCM over HDMI, switches on, back off, then back to 2 channels PCM. Result on Pioneer and Denon receivers is the new track misses a short bit of audio playback as the receiver switches. Some receivers click relays depending on output configuration (channels amps come on and off)

Expected behavior

  1. If the next track is in the same audio format (e.g. 24bit, 96khz) then PMP should send silent audio and keep the PCM over HDMI going.

Even better

  1. There should be no gaps whatsoever between album tracks

This also happens with Linux, so the platform:windows tag is wrong.
