@whizzzkid : is there a related issue motivating this change? Is there an example "starmap issue" that will now benefit from this work?

@BigLep I think this is related to #356 and our discussion about adding the Fission demos of Starmap

FYI the video rendering isn't great, and I think just adding links would work fine. like, in an appendix section or something
