DECISION: Ask core team to strategically market CfB at other skill-based Meetups #29

Why

Projects are having a hard time finding members with the skills they need, but don't want to draw new members that will be turned off by lack of need for their skill. We're concerned those disappointed people will discourage others from participating in the future. This is more of a concern with people who are already part of an existing community with which we want a positive relationship.

How

New core team role of 'membership lead' (link to be added) sees what specific needs projects currently have. CfB markets to meetups/groups likely to have volunteers with those skills.

Example: Project 1 needs (a) project manager(s), but not for scrum. More for liaising with partners, helping set up long term goals, maintaining vision, as well as making sure knowledge gets documented, on-boarding materials are kept up to date, and effective communication is going on. Membership lead makes sure CfB reaches out to PM meetups, but is clear about the kind of PM skills being looked for.

  2. Very unsure about this vote since there wasn't much time and only one vote. Worth revisiting?
