It may be more productive to find out more from the core team about what their obstacles are and what their efforts have been.
~The core team has a lot of work to do and not a lot of time to do it in. They seem overworked in general and we're concerned that what we're asking of them is too much to put on the available members. At the same time, we heard they've already make big efforts in recruiting new core team members. Would it be less work to look for other sources of help?~
