Mr. Roboto demands a change note; but I can't find neither a CHANGES.rst file (just a CHANGES.txt for static lxml ) nor a news folder ...

It may have been better to wait for a review from @tkimnguyen before merging this. At least it surprises me that you got the error originally. The published installer for 5.2.2 worked for me and him without your fix. I have not dived into this.
