for the plone.org rss feeds we probably have to talk to the people doing the new plone.org. For planet we could just do a redirect.
feedburner was bought by google, so yes the possibility that it will shutdown is there. Google already removed some features. IMHO rss is getting slowly less used, but lots of people so yeah I say we manage them ourself.
Who is doing the new plone.org? Can we ask them if they thought about the rss feeds and which ones to keep?
I guess we could open a ticket in the plone.org repo: https://github.com/plone/ploneorg.core/issues and tag it as question, seems the easiest way to reach the whole team of the new ploneorg site
+1 for getting clear of feedburner.
:+1: I'm always annoyed of not seeing the actual URLs but instead some feedburner URL..
Are we still using a cdn in front of Plone.org? If so I'd say just serve the feeds directly.

Yes, we are using a CDN.
We seem to have the current rss feeds listen on plone.org going through feed burner:
Do we want to get them off feed burner and have them managed by planet? The rss links should be kept the same if possible? There has been rumours that feed burner is closing down for years.
