Chromecast (1st gen) YouTube video playback not working

I have tried

• [x] Reloading the page/app
• [x] Clearing (browser) cache, cookies or (mobile) app data
• [x] Switching to the default language (English)
• [ ] Disabling all extensions and scripts (browser only)
• [x] Reinstalling the app (mobile only)

When you start casting to the Chromecast (gen 1) the YouTube playback does not work. It gives the error that an error occured and that I have to try it again later. Photo of error: https://i.imgur.com/EtFv8Xm.jpg

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open plug.dj app and start casting to the Chromecast.
2. Join a community.
3. The YouTube video tries to load but fails after around 10 seconds resulting in photo above. (Same happens if you're already in a community and then start casting.)

SoundCloud playback also does not seem to work. Player loads for a very long time (~20 seconds) and after that it fails.
