How to record tumor stage within Condition?

The Condition resource supports the attribute stage which allows communication of disease stage. This information is highly relevant for the NKR use-case. Within this attribute additional agreement is required to facilitate secondary use of the data when communicating a tumor stage.

mCODE has already developed profiles on Observation for recording/exchanging TNM staging information ( TNM Stage Group Profile). These profiles might be re-used.

• [ ] Decide how to profile Condition.stage.assessment; does the mCODE approach match with Epic and other FHIR-implementations?
• [ ] Condition.stage has cardinality 0..* but it is unclear how useful this would be for tumor staging; should this be limited in this context?

Based on discussions, it seems that Epic currently provides values from the last time the tumor staging form was filled out.
