Comment by dimo on 17 Nov 2012 18:20 UTC test it on new.plumi.org
Comment by anna on 20 Nov 2012 07:17 UTC Strange bar displayed on search results page: http://new.plumi.org/search?getCountries=AF
Would also look much nicer if videos were displayed as per video listings... this I suppose is one reason not to go down this path?
Or could we somehow incorporate that style of listing into search results?
I.e. list video search results first (with ajax more button) and then other items listed more simply below.
Anyhow, I suppose a Plumi user could decide to use a system for taxonomies as EM does, and implment that instead.
We are definitely maintaining the current system of collections for EM, aren't we?
Comment by anna on 21 Nov 2012 03:21 UTC Will search results look like Markos just made them styled on testing.plumi.org?
http://testing.plumi.org/@@search?advanced_search=False&sort_on=&SearchableText=video
If so then I think this is fixed.
Comment by markos on 28 Nov 2012 13:26 UTC This is fixed. Taxonomies are created on new Plumi portals and point to search listings, where videos appear with thumbnails (same as when you search for a keyword)
Tested on new.plumi.org (example select Country from Browse, then International)
Comment by anna on 30 Nov 2012 03:30 UTC tested, seems to work well.
Reported by anna on 15 Nov 2012 21:53 UTC As mentioned in the meeting, Unweb wanted to change the way taxonomies work in Plumi - to use searches based on taxonomy item rather than collections.
"Dimo mentioned a new way of handling taxonomies by default, so that the many collections for taxonomy items, that may not be required by the Plumi user, do not have to be created on install. He mentioned the use of taxonomy lists of searches by Genre e.g. rather than collections - less code, bloat and installation time.."
Currently the Browse items are broken: http://new.plumi.org/taxonomy/topic
