While working on the index, I found Claude 3 Opus's comment interesting, so I decided to write it down as a note for future versions.

Some key people are mentioned repeatedly in different contexts, like Alexis de Tocqueville, Danielle Allen, John Dewey, etc. Brief bios when first introduced would help readers not already familiar with their work.

I feel it is very helpful of most readers.
