Proposal to add a link to the Japanese community on Plurality.net

In a discussion of Japanese core members (akinori, tkgshn, me: nishio) conducted in Japanese, tkgshn proposed adding a link to the Japanese forum on the page so that Japanese speakers visiting Plurality.net would become aware of the existence of the Japanese language forum.

I agreed with this intention and proposed adding a button "Japanese/日本語 (Scrapbox)" as a solution.

Akinori's argument is as follows:

• Greg Wang was discussing adding Language Switcher, but currently paused.
• Akinori think it would be good to display at the top of the page where you select a language from the language list of the Language Switcher, indicating that translations are being sought or being discussed in the community, while also listing completed Parts.
• Additionally, he said there is currently no discussion about displaying activities in the community on Plurality.net. There is no discussion about whether to aggregate the movements of Plurality in various places.
• He suggested discussion with Glen and Jacky

In my opinion, since adding the button is a minor adjustment, it should be done immediately to avoid missed opportunities, and any necessary modifications can be made after the implementation of the Language Switcher.

On the other hand, since each language community will have different diverse needs, it would be beneficial to have a clear roadmap for how to reflect those needs on Plurality.net. Therefore, I created this issue with the aim of providing a case study that other communities can refer to in the future. After submission, I'll also post it on Discord and provide a link to ensure that discussions on Discord do not get lost.

I support this, but think we need a more systematic way to approach linking to various communities. We can't just have eventually dozens of links from this page. Can we come up with something more scalable?

One of something more scalable will be Language Switcher. I hope @akinorioyama can share specific progress updates on Language Switcher and drive it forward.

In terms of i18n @GregCTWang, and of cross language collaboration @taipeicityeth , would you chime in to discuss ways to incorporate such resources on the plurality.net site?

We may want a functionality to host both language independent information and language specific details. Other streams of information may also come in at different levels in different places. This type of book clubs or exploratory reading may deserve a higher place than a simple invitation of translation collaboration. Let me engage in discusion with all of you to draw a more scalable and holistic approach to meet the functional requirement to allow to post items in places where it is most suitable.

Although the PR#120 has been already merged as a temporary measure, let us (@GregCTWang @taipeicityeth) continue discussion in here and on discord.

As I shared in discord message, I would propose a way to host commuity links in part/chapter list. In pre-i18n version, I would add an area between book cover and the list of parts. In time for i18n, the global content and different content from forks can appear in global and/or local pages to list parts/chapters. The area should have pre-defined format to read markdown files in the original pluraitybook repo and i18n repos.
