Thoughts on v 1.0.0? #254

Open groundh0g opened 9 years ago

groundh0g commented 9 years ago

In the short term, jekyll-bootstrap will be:

  1. resolving existing issues
  2. implementing some low-risk features [low-hanging fruit],
  3. getting the develop branch integrated back into master with the intent of properly using it for, well, development.

v1.0.0 is quite a ways off, but I'd like to get thoughts on features that would make the release worthy of the version 1 moniker.

@pathawks' #257 should be added to this list. Spice it up with the other supported plugins:

Consider pinging @dbtek for pull requests. His repo is top 3 for "jekyll bootstrap" on Google, even though it appears to be an unmaintained fork of plusjade/jekyll-bootstrap. Would be much better if his efforts were re-focused back to the main project.

On a different note, will you be using GitHub releases eventually? It's nice for people who sporadically check for bigger milestone developments.

Cool. Thanks for the lead (@dbtek) and the tip (releases)!

I'm still learning the ins and outs of github, apparently. Looks like @plusjade was using releases in the past. I'll resume that practice.

Hi all,

I happily contribute my work on jekyll-bootstrap-3 if needed. There are also bootstrap and dbyll themes with theme preview project in organization.

Thanks, @dbtek! I'll poke around those links when I get to the 1.0 work. Much appreciated.
