MORE MILESTONES?
The lines are getting blurred between v0.5.0 and v1.0.0 during this exercise as several PRs are related to using new Jekyll built-in features. Maybe I'll split this work into more manageable pieces (multiple v0.5.x milestones), and refocus / refine the v1.0.0 goals.
v0.5.x will focus on PR clean-ups
v1.0.0 will focus on support & compatibility for most recent Jekyll, plus new JB features (like multi-language support)
TL;DR: Some PRs will be moved to v1.0.0.
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
Just because an issue or PR is listed here does not mean that it is 100% approved for inclusion in the next release or two. It just means that I'll be taking a closer look. When able, I'm closing PRs that are obviously incompatible with JB's code or vision. Many more may hit the chopping block. :/

PR #41 - JB/list_item (generic lists) from @jbenet
_Addressed (at least partially) by #42, JB/sortcollection?
List is complete. May shuffle some items to other milestones as I consider how best to group these tasks. Minimal grouping has been performed during the initial pass.

"Curent" in 2012. Still the case today?
see comments in #157 for good suggested tweaks.
Related issue #84. site.safe may be obsoleted.
IIRC, Jekyll supports emoji natively now. PR may be obsoleted.
I'm iffy on this one, but will take a closer look during PR cleanups.
Needs work. Specifically, adding tag support, possible redundancy in logic.
May already be implemented, IIRC. Will check.
