For unknown reasons, when it is only possible to save through the firefox popup dialog, renaming the tiddlywiki file is the only help. Deleting only the file storage.js, beakon.tmp.html and reinstalling the plugin was not helpful. (firefox setting for downloads was set correctly to the default user folder download) Win7EnterpriseSP1 FF61.0

Hallo Mario Danke für die superschnelle Nachfrage! Wir hatten letzten Winter schon einmal e-mail Kontakt betreffend diesem Problem: Betreff war "file-backups for TiddlyWiki", meine e-mail adresse "frankxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com" Das letzte mal konnte ich das Problem mit Deinem Tipp, die Einstellungen für den standard Download-Ordner von "jedesmal nachfragen" auf "Alle Dateien in folgendem Ordner abspeichern" lösen. Diesmal war offenbar nicht diese Einstellung schuld. Ich habe dann mein Wiki-file von 63uAgmfd.htm auf 63uAgmfd.html umbenannt und siehe da, alles hat wieder wunderbar funktioniert. Auch das von mir gelöschte beakon.tmp.html war wieder da. Kannst Du meinen vagen Schilderungen ungefähr folgen? Hast Du bei anderen usern nie solche Probleme gesehen? Gruss Frank.

Ich hoffe du machst auch vom backup-folder von Zeit zu Zeit ein backup!

63uAgmfd.htm auf 63uAgmfd.html

Beim Umbenennen wird ein neuer Eintrag in den lokalen Einstellungen generiert. Aus irgend einem Grund scheinen die bei dir "kaputt" zu gehen. ..

Auch das von mir gelöschte beakon.tmp.html war wieder da.

beakon.tmp.html ist eine etwas "unsaubere" Lösung, die ich leider brauche, um festzustellen, wo das "user-download" Verzeichnis ist. FF gibt mir leider keine info zurück. ... Und die Entwickler wollen auch in Zukunft diese info nicht geben ... Meine Anfrage, wurde mit WONTFIX abgelehnt.

Nein. ... zum Glück nicht. ... Deshalb bin ich auch ein bisschen ratlos.

Kannst du noch mal nachschauen, wie storage.js ausschaut? --- Eventuell ein Version an mich als "private mail"!

storage.js wird ab FF 67 od 68 nicht mehr verwendet. ... @FrankOnGit ... hast du immer noch Probleme?

Hallo Mario

Danke der Nachfrage. Ich benütze die neueste Firefox revision und Dein Backup läuft mehrmals täglich. Keine Probleme mehr, ich habe allerdings auch schon lange nichts mehr an den Einstellungen oder Ablageorten verändert.

Wenn ich fürs Debugging etwas beitragen kann einfach melden, ich probier’s aus.
