First user study observations (Aug 16) #16

  1. Instructors switch to writing on paper.
  2. Pen input on the tablet is poor -- not every stroke is captured and displayed.
  3. Students want to know the status of their help request.
  4. Multiple help requests from one student are very common -- currently not handled.
  5. There are help requests that do not require capture -- allow instructors to mark a help request as complete.
  6. The help queue becomes too cluttered -- students who are being helped/were helped should be removed.
  7. Navigating class layout is hard -- add landmarks blackboard, entrance, etc.

Philip remakrs:

Rotation lock, Need unique features for a tablet, annotating an existing material. Take a photo of the students work on, remark on that. Don't kn'ow how to get out of the capturing interface. Simplify the interface.
