I noticed the minimap looks washed out after this change, not sure what is causing it.

The bad types come from drei's baked in types for three.

I created a PR to fix it -- https://github.com/pmndrs/drei/pull/640

This is the same issue as https://github.com/pmndrs/drei/issues/553
