After 15 months of no activity the PAL version has been fully 100% matched. All of the segments have been completely split and all of the functions are now resolved. This was originally made to split the main segment, but for my own sake I had to change plan and do everything.

There's so much splitting here that it slows down overall build process... I think somewhat or someway replacing some of the build components with a much faster equivalent, like the msg extractor which is much slower than anything else.

regarding build slowness, yeah moving the msg extraction and mapfs extraction into rust would be a fun side project. someday I hope splat is fully rust, but that's a huge project that'll take time
