Login failed from UK

Hi, since about 10 hours ago I'm unable to login to my L360 account through the integration, it says invalid authentication. I've checked in the L360 app and it appears that my mobile phone number is verified - I don't remember doing this, and certainly not 10 hours ago. I've tried to follow the guide to get the token, however this only seems to work for US accounts as the website will only accept US phone numbers, and doesn't recognise my email address. I've tried the UK version of the L360 website and can't find any way to login, so it appears it maybe app only in the UK??

Am I missing something obvious here, or is there a work around?

@pnbruckner I did login from web browser and did retrieve a token, after that did delete my account from configure flow and then added it again using the token instead of my email/password. It did now authenticate, now I am waiting if it will load my circle, at least is positive it did now let me authenticate.

@pnbruckner seems I have the same problem as @Menz01 .... when I used token method for authentication it does authenticate my account, I get and stay connected but it not retrieve the devices in my circle.... I am connected for 6 hours now but my device tracker entities stay unavailable.

I am on b1 and it as been running now for 6hrs no problem

Unfortunately here I not even get it re-enabled again

@figarospares I was on b1 and did not work to re-enable, then did try b2 and still exactly the same issue. I am located in Romania

that is what happened to me on official version. to resolve it I had to reset my password on https://app.life360.com/login and it allowed me to enable again

How did you update to b2 through hacs or delete life360 folder and copied new files?

Did update from original to b1, and after to b2, did use hacs to update beta's

I never updated like that I deleted the integration then deleted the folder from custom comments the life360 folder and replaced with new version then rebooted home assistant and added the life360 integration.

I will try tomorrow to delete it all and re-install or else will try to use token to authenticate

@figarospares is yours still working? Also did it retrieve all members from circle, all are available and showing correct location results?

@figarospares as I said in the other incident, although it may not be flagging an error and disabling the account, it may still be having to retry very often, and therefore getting very infrequent location updates.

You can easily find out by enabling debug for the integration, then after a while, go to Settings -> System -> Logs, enter "[custom_components.life360.coordinator] Finished fetching" in the "Search logs" box, and click LOAD FULL LOGS. You should see messages like this:

2024-07-09 08:58:38.059 DEBUG (MainThread) [custom_components.life360.coordinator] Finished fetching John Doe data in 0.198 seconds (success: True)

If the number of seconds is always less than one, then you're not being affected by these errors. However, if you're actually getting the errors, but the integration is able to successfully retry, then you'll see numbers that are around multiples of 60 seconds. These numbers show how long it actually takes to get an update from the server.

@figarospares I did delete and re-install version b.02 but still am not able to login by email, I can using access token but still it never retrieves my members of my life360 account, iI not have any device tracker entities in the integration. This is why I asked if you have all members available as device trackers and if they update frequently when not stationary.

yes correct.... Delete the integration first then goto home assistant folder config custom comments delete life360 folder and drop new b1 in there then re add integration in home assiant and login with email and password

i did all these steps now and it did not work for me. i can still add the integration and add my account but it will only create one single binary sensor that stays connected but will not add any of the members of the circle

hey... just an FYI.... i think being on the latest version of HA makes a difference. i was on 20246.2 because Alexe Media Player integration is having issues. i have a work around in place now for it so i updated to 2024.7.1 and i noticed after the reboot that life360 was showing all my member entities now. will see how long it lasts but wanted to update everyone

EDIT, only thing is I am still on 2024.6.x and not yet updated to 2024.7.x

So far so good. all my entities are still showing in the integration. how long it will work for i cannot say as this has happened before. as for now it is working

upgrading to 2024.7.1 was the key to fixing mine

upgrading to 2024.7.1 was the key to fixing mine

Thanks for replying, I will try/see then when I update to 2024.7.x ... for the moment the 2024.7 updates cause problems with the icloudv3 integration, so I will wait till there is a fix for this before I end up not having any device trackers anymore :)))
