On one of the maps, I believe it's swampy abode there are environment sounds related to the torches that use some kind of spatial/3d sound.
Whatever function is being used to play those sounds should be used to play the sounds for the dummy player as well.
The dummy player will still trigger sounds on the local client when using weapons, jumping, grunting etc etc etc.
At the very least I'd like to be able to control the volume of each of these sounds based on distance from the local player.
