replaced most of the legacy game menu system, nuked most of `CustomMenu.cpp`

• re-implemented and refactored the code to use the shiny new menu system
• fixed most de-allocation issues (if not all)
• partially re-wrote some of the menu logic
• improved the updater menus
• and other miscellaneous fixes and code refactoring
