From Edward Louie

Change the name of workflow from: “BETA – Ductless Heat Pump” to “Ductless HP” “BETA – Central Ducted Split Heat Pump” to “Central Ducted Split HP”

Copy the workflow “Ductless HP” and create a new workflow titled “Ductless HP w/o Manual J”. In this new workflow delete the “Manual J Calculation” section

Copy the workflow “Central Ducted Split HP” and create a new workflow titled “Central Ducted Split HP w/o Manual J”. In this new workflow delete the “Manual J Calculation” section

In the “Ductless HP” and “Ductless HP w/o Manual J” workflows add a collapsible section titled “Equipment Selection Details” under the Equipment Selection heading. In the collapsible section add the following text:

Select the equipment based on the ASHRAE heating and cooling design conditions, Manual J load calculation or alternate load sizing method, and the decided percent load which the heat pump will cover.

These decisions depend on knowing the equipment’s performance at specific temperatures. Reference the manufacturer’s extended performance tables and/or the NEEP Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump List. Factor in auxiliary heat, or dual fuel into the equipment selection as applicable. If the existing ducts can only accommodate a heat pump below the size that is needed, discuss with the customer the option of upgrading the ducts versus supplementing the central heat pump with one or more ductless heat pumps. Please add a comment recording the decisions made.

In the “Central Ducted Split HP” and “Central Ducted Split HP w/o Manual J” workflows edit the text in the collapsible section titled “Equipment Selection Details” under the Equipment Selection heading. Replace with the same text as above.

In the “Attic Air Sealing” workflow change the section titled “Non-IC Rated Can Lights – Photo” to “Leaky Recessed Light – Photo”. Inside the collapsible section change the text from “Photo of enclose and air seal non-IC rated recessed lights” to: Photo of a leaky recessed light fixture treatment. Recommended treatments include: Sealing the leaky recessed light fixture using an airtight recessed light cover from the attic
