Thank you for reporting this issue. We will be triaging your incoming issue as soon as possible.
It's true that it's a bit confusing at the moment. We had to deal with Erwin being unavailable for a while due to personal circumstances. Because of this an Intermediate Release 1 for May has been released without having a normal release and not having an MSI version. Erwin just created an Intermediate Release 2 for May which does have an MSI version as well. From June onwards we should be following the normal pattern again with version 3.22.2006.0 and both an MSI version as well as the Install-Module option.
Thank you for the detailed explanations! I really appreciate it.

It seems that the May 2020 Release ("3.21.2005.1") is available, is that right ? However, I can't see and/or download it from the releases section of the PnP PowerShell repository (see here: https://github.com/pnp/PnP-PowerShell/releases). Moreover, I can see in CHANGELOG.md file, the version number is "3.21.2005.0" vs. "3.21.2005.1" in version.txt file. Is that normal ?
