Searchresults webpart fully blanks out #309

Expected or Desired Behavior

When I add the searchresults webpart to the page I expect, after configuration, that some data is shown, like results or at least the webpart title.

Observed Behavior

When I add the searchresults webpart to the page it doesn't react to any of the settings I make. Even the title is not shown. It fully blanks out from the page. I can edit the webpart, but it keeps fully blank. It doesn't even show the grey start area with the configurate button.

Steps to Reproduce

Add the searchresults webpart to the page.

@mi-di We don't see your error msg here..seems you tried to paste an image of it(?)

Witch image? I downloaded the package, added it to the app catalog, added the app to a site and put the search results webpart to the page. I even tried it on a new page and an other site, same behaviour. I will try to remove the package and add it again to the app catalog. I let you know if that will work.

@mi-di forget about "image". Just let us know what any error shows in the dev console. Ref your message which don't tell us much.

My head was totally not clear that day. ☹

So what I did till now.

  1. Removed the webpart from the page
  2. Removed the app from the sitecollection
  3. Removed the app from the recyclebins
  4. Removed the pnp solution from the app store
  5. Removed the page
  6. Added the package to the app store
  7. Added the app to the sitecollection
  8. Created a new page
  9. Added the search results webpart to the page
  10. Same results, nothing shown

1-3 I have no idea about. The question is what causes 4. In order to troubleshoot we would need to know your webpart and query setup, language settings etc. Hard to troubleshoot based on the above information to set up a repro.

I understand.

Strangest thing, opened the page again and I saw results.

The language is dutch, the searchquery is a * and show empty with no results is off

But sometimes it stil disapears. It has something to when switching between the templates.

Similar Situation - refinement webpart shows for a brief moment and then disappears

Can you build the dev branch. Should fix the issue. Meaning the upcoming 3.7. Didn't think of this until now..brain fried.

You have to clone our dev branch and build https://github.com/SharePoint/sp-dev-solutions/tree/modern-search-dev/solutions/ModernSearch/react-search-refiners Or wait a week or two for the next release.
