enhancement request: support decibel expressions in -vol

I'd like to adjust audio volume based on decibels, such as:
ffmbc -y -i 3_tracks.mov -vol -16dB -vcodec copy -acodec pcm_s24le 
3_tracks_vol.mov

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When attempting something like ' -vol -16dB ', ffmbc will error like:
Expected int64 for vol but found -16dB

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FFmbc version 0.7-rc8, Mac 10.8.2
