Conflict with extensions param if collection name has a dot #116

if a dataset has a dot in its name then it conflicts with the extension param. We have some collections in SWOT with a version number including a dot.

@sureshshsv can you give an example of this? not sure if you meant collection or the granule name having the dot.

wasn't able to reproduce this with 1.12.0:

podaac-data-downloader -c CYGNSS_L1_V2.1 -d CYGNSS_L1_V2.1 -sd 2023-04-01T00:00:00Z -ed 2023-04-20T00:00:00Z  --verbose -e .nc

if there is a specific collection, please let us know.
