Yes, this is unfortunately broken since Gutenberg. It's always been a hacky feature and it falls apart with Gutenberg. Since Gutenberg is not made with traditional HTML but modern JavaScript-Stuff, it's become much harder to get information in/out of it. I'll need to see if they added APIs for this, but it was impossible at the time of release of Gutenberg.

Expected behavior
When I enable gutenberg editor and create a new podcast episode the post title should be used as podcast title below. This is the behaviour with TinyMCE Editor / Classic Editor
Actual behavior
When gutenberg is enabled the podcast title is empty although the post title is filled.
