Webplayer on Safari/iOS fails to play audio. #1120

We just received feedback from an listener of ours, that our latest episode in the Webplayer on Safari iOS triggers the connection problem error message.

We could reproduce that issue in all our episodes on all our podcasts.

In the server logs we can see that the audio data is delivered correctly. I can curl the audio urls without problems. Playing the urls from the command line with mplayer works without problems.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue.

As it turns out we are using a deprecated Webplayer version. We will configure the new version and see. Closing until then.

Reopening because the issue persists in Webplayer 5. The difference is, that in Webplayer 5 the error message does not appear. Instead it remains eternally waiting.

We now have one podcast using the deprecated Webplayer 4: https://kern.punkto.info

Hmm I tried to reproduce this issue on iOS with active developer tools but I can play the podcast without any issues 🤔

For me issue looks like exactly as the issue I have since times #1097 First the stream/podcast is playing but after round about 1:30 min there no sound output but the player is running and shows it is playing.
