Using `Trim extra whitespace before/after contents` results in field text content not being displayed #6941

Description

I just created a new Settings page. I added a plain text field. If I check the Trim extra whitespace before/after contents option and try to add a value to the field and then save, nothing is displayed in the field on the new Settings page. If I uncheck the Trim extra whitespace before/after contents option, the correct value is displayed in the field on the new Settings page.

Can't seem to reproduce this one right now.

Can you provide a package of your configuration (Pods Admin > Migrate Packages) using the Migrate Packages component (Pods Admin > Components)? That might help us to see if we can reproduce the issue.
