Please provide further feedback, specifically:
Windows 2000, Firefox 3.5.19
Now that you're asking, I realize how potentially out of date those are. lol.
Still, backwards compatibility can be viewed as a positive ethic. I have no idea what the pods dev group's ethics are in these regards, but I'm sure you'll let me know so in potentially future bug reports I'll know what's worthy to report in so far as parameters of compatibility which you seek to keep.
We have very limited resources to maintain 100% compatibility with operating systems and browsers no longer supported by their publishers, while a lot of things we do is compatible, certain things like this are tough to test since maintaining testing machines with this older software can be a lot of overhead.
WordPress itself only supports recent browsers and periodically drops official support for older browsers.
This is a free plugin, and we have very few users who are constrained from using a more up-to-date browser/OS.
I hope you see that this isn't us not wanting to make this work better for you, but instead that we're unable to devote the time and energy to make it a priority.
Thank you. That's just fine. I'll know what to potentially report now. Could you let me know the OS and browser you're using as your base standard?
Actually, as I've been trudging through learning pods, I've also realized that I'll probably want to create a few custom UI interfaces for my client anyway, so I'm sure I'll figure out a nice UI solution whatever the case may be.
If you have clients and you're doing web work, I recommend you have at least Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.7 installed, using the latest Firefox, Google Chrome, and/or Internet Explorer.
While clients may have old outdated computers / software, the more successful ones may have more updated and it can be just as important to ensure things look good in newer browsers as it is to make sure things aren't breaking in older browsers.
We try to support IE8+ and Firefox 3.6+, but sometimes there are things that get through that we are unable to test so we rely on user submitted bug reports to determine fixes for them.
Thank you.
I still use Windows 2000 for all my development, but if I find anything else, I'll first load it up in Firefox 3.6 or much newer, and check in at the IRC chat first to make sure it's a worthy bug for posting here. Thank you again.
Cool, sorry for the trouble!
When using a custom content type, if the screen size is 1024x768, for this width, in the editing screen, the "More Fields" area is incorrectly displayed, or at least it's too wide. For those editing with a larger screen it may also appear improperly if you shrink your window size. A screenshot of the bug is at this link: http://www.daisydoor.net/screen01.jpg
