fceu 3.0.9 reset my settings #196

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Run fceugx 3.0.9
2.Change settings
3.Settings are reseted

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Store my preferences, device to load, music volume, rumble on/off,
controller settings. Instead the app reset my preferences to default.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii version

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Official build, no autoupdate

Please provide any additional information below.
It reset my preference at very random, sometimes it takes days, other it
just reset just after the change.

I used an old settings.xml file, it doesn't work, then I leave the app
create the settings.xml itself, but the problem persist. The same
happened with the last snes9x build for Wii.

Hi, it creates a FCEUsettings.xml in the apps folder, do I need copy it and
paste
into the FCEU folder, the folder with the boot/icon/meta?

I will test, could you check the VBAGX and SNESGX ones? They have the same bug
though.
Thanks
Made this report in the VBAGX too

Cool, the settings are working again, thanks, no problems so far. I think the
SNES
and VBAGX have the same problem.

Yes, noted. I already rewrote the code for all three to fix this, that's why
this
new bug cropped up ;)
