This is the GUI design, not a bug. if you're pointing at the screen, it expects
you
to use the wiimote for scrolling and selection.

How is this invalid? This is a problem. You can still point at the screen and
the
scroll will work but pointing at ROMs, files, or folders the highlighter gets
stuck.

You're saying: You point the Wiimote within the filebrowser and then try use
the d-
pad to scroll. Well, the Wiimote is *overriding* the d-pad. This is a common UI
behavior, try out some other apps or Wii games and you'll see the same
behavior.
There are other ways to deal with this scenario (see Wii Sports' behavior for
example), but this was a conscious UI design decision I made.

Instead of having the selector also be the scroller, have two seperate objects.
The
first object has the list of ROMs/files/folders and the other is the selector
that
hovers over the pointed ROM/file/folder. That way you can scroll the list
without
the selector getting stuck when pointing at ROMs/files/folders and using the
d-pad.
