[SUGGESTION] Love at First Flight Event & Questline

This issue is to suggest the addition of an event with questline based on the anime episode of the same name aired on September the 11th. I was thinking that the event could start beginning of September and end on the 12th or the 13th.

The whole event and questline is all about love, with several characters and Pokemon, from the anime or the games asking about help regarding their loved ones.

I was thinking that the event could start beginning of September and end on the 12th or the 13th.

There could be a lot of new Pokémon and forms so I'll just list them here to see if it's doable or not :

• Spinda (Heart Shape)
• Luverin (Female Luvdisc with a little crown)
• Kecleon (In Love) from Pokémon Journeys
• Meowzie
• Nidoran Male and Female (with ribbons) and their evolutions
• Jessie's Dustox (with ribbon)
• Illumise and Volbeat (either Illuminated or with bow ties)
• May's Bulbizarre (with its heart shaped mark on its forehead)

Overall, if everything is included, I was thinking :

• Jessie's Dustox as a Sinnoh Roamer during the whole event
• May's Bulbasaur as a Hoenn Roamer for the whole event (evolutions enabled)
• Spinda, Luverin, Kecleon, Meowzie and both Nidoran as unlocked alt forms from the questlines. Bow Tie Illumise and Volbeat being the ultimate reward from the questline. Nidoran's evolutions are unlocked after completing the questline.
• Illuminated Illumise and Volbeat would be a 8 pm to 8 am on the 11th-12th of September roamers in the Hoenn region.

• The general idea of the event is approved!
• Heart Spinda is accepted as an alt form
• Love Kecleon is accepted as an alt form
• Illumise and Volbeat Illuminated are accepted as alt forms
• Other alt forms are not accepted, as they are not very different.
• More details on the quest are needed
• Event only heart scale loot drops and/or quests would be a good addition.

Thanks for the feedback ! I'll be working on the questline over the week and I hope I can provide a skeleton by the end of the week. Heart Scale would also be a good addition to the Event/Questline overall so I'll look into that as well :) Thanks again and I'll get to work 😁

More info on what I'm thinking and planning for the LaFF Q&E following the feedback from the devs :

For the Event (that would run from the 1st Sept to 12 Sept.), here's what I was thinking :

• More Nidoran on routes in Kanto
• More Luvdisc on routes in Hoenn
• More Dustox on routes in Sinnoh
• More Kecleon on routes in Galar
• More Swoobat on routes in Unova
• More Mareanie on routes in Alola
• Spinda 💚 as a all-region roamer
• More Illumise and Volbeat in Hoenn route 117
• Illumise and Volbeat (Illuminated) as Hoenn roamers for 12 hours from 11 Sept. 8pm to 12 Sept. 8am
• Chances of obtaining Heart Scale doubled

As for the Questline :

• Starting region : Hoenn
• Meowth ask us some help.
• Talk to Meowth (he tells us that he left TR to find his long lost love and to see if we would be able to help, he wants you to do some tasks)
• Gain 5,000 Normal Gems, Capture 500 Normal Pokémon, hatch 50 eggs
• Meowth not convinced, he wants to fight
• Fight Meowth
• Talk to Meowth (Trust earned, he tells you to meet him in Kanto, in Saffron City)
• Go to Saffron City and talk to Meowth (he tells you about his love more in depth and ask you to help him find the group in which his love is)
• Defeat 250 Meowth on each of these routes : Routes 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Kanto
• Get back to Meowth (he wanted confirmation that the group was in Saffron City)
• He needs some advice from some Pokémon from Hoenn (spoiler alert : Spinda and Kecleon)
• Capture 100 Kecleon, Capture 100 Spinda, Get 5,000 Normal gems --> Unlocks Spinda 💚 as a Roamer and unlock Kecleon (In Love)
• Talk to Meowth to give feedback
• (do certain dungeons for certain event item ?)
• Meet Meowzie
• Fight Persian and Meowths
• Meowzie declines TR Meowth's love and decide to come with you
• Meowth is heartbroken, goes back to Hoenn
• Go to Hoenn, to Verdanturf Town
• Speak to Meowth, sad and angry, who rejoined TR
• Fight TR, disguised as Volbeat and Illumise, and blast them off (again)

Considering post #3717, i feel like this would be better served as a valentines event rather than based on the episode date (because the latter is fairly arbitrary, it opens up a huge can of worms for other anime-based Pokemon, and I think this is probably the best source of Valentinish pokemon available) but would it be possible to have this event available twice a year? Once in February as a valentines day thing, and once at the time of the actual episode's airing. Those are almost half a year apart, and would make it easier to get the Pokemon no matter when you start.

It isn't based on valentine as OP was told that was better not base events in irl celebrations as they arent truly universal

Is that so? That doesn't really jive with the existing event calendar. I mean, more than half of the existing Events are explicitly based on irl events - Lunar New Year, Easter, Japan's Golden Week, Halloween, and Christmas - and one of those is specific to a single country. One more is clearly based on April Fools but themed slightly differently (Hoopa Day).

Moreover, the questline is based on an entirely different, older episode with a November air date.

With that much precedent, it doesn't make much sense to make a hearts-and-romance themed event and then not sync it with Valentines in some way. Neither the proposed time nor valentines is in a particularly busy time event-wise at the moment, but I think not syncing it will raise a lot more confusion than syncing it.
