Hi Alexander, I see you have help-wanted issues here, I'm very interested in this space and I would love to up my rust foo at the same time, if you are open to a bit of mentoring and code review, I'd be happy to try help.

Also, I've squatted the stdnet crate in the spirit of std and stdweb - my hope is to have a home for all the protocols and standard networking datastructures - I don't believe we should all re-implement ip, tcp, mac, etc data structures.
