Part of the constellation matching plan is to up-weight seals that have matched constellations of patches, but to not down-weight seals that only have matched points too much, since part of the constellation could be obscured if the seal is rolled a little.
As an addition, I propose that we identify a region that is the 'center line' of the seal, based on anatomical control points, and say that, if a patch is matched there but the constellation is not matched, it's down-weighted more than usual because it's a region which should always be visible.
