Hi @jeroencremer, we didn't create the bioconda recipe for piranha- I can see that the dependencies now differ on the recipe (here) from the ones on our environment.yaml file and that'll be the source of the issue with install- it all comes back to tensorflow and medaka, which are very finickity.
I believe it was rpetit3 who created the recipe for this repository. I'm not sure whether it's just a matter of doing a PR to update the dependencies to be in line with what we currently have for piranha in the environment file now.

Installation command: mamba create -n piranha -c bioconda piranha-polio=1.3 -y
It look like the same problem as "https://github.com/polio-nanopore/piranha/issues/242" The problem still seems to be present in version 1.3 The adjustment may not have been included in the update!
