We need to have a generic search engine that support the representative format for listing (like "all reps of this country") #8

Current candidate is woosh+haystack. One of use needs to RTFM how all of this works and if this approach is a good idea.

The "institution" model might make this obsolete (combine with custom HTML). This would mean writting custom HTML form for every flavor of the political memory.

Might or might not be a good trade off. I still don't know how generic that would possible to handle those data using a search engine (so the search engine idea might be stupid).

I think the description of this issue is no longer really valid but the underlying issue is. As we get more data we will need things such as fulltext search on positions, etc.
