Fightcade won't launch at all, I'm sharing this issue with several people #80

Open Dingosig opened 8 years ago

Dingosig commented 8 years ago

when I try to launch the exe, it doesn't even launch. I opened up task manager, and the fightcade.exe process starts briefly, then immediately closes. I'm under windows 7

This dude has the exact same problem, he also has windows 7: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fighters/comments/44nsrr/fightcade_wont_launch_at_all/ I found an other dude, on a twich chat, with the same problem, he has windows 8. So it seem like a common problem, but none of us found the solution, please help :/

I have exactly the same problem. I'm on windows 8.1 Pro on a laptop (asus ROG g771JM).

I tried to uninstall/install Adobe Air but nothing change. I tried to install a fresh copie of windows too but it doesn't work too.

When i try to launch the software, it seems to appear in my process for 1/2sec and disappear without error message.

As Dingosig said, it seems to be a common problem, hope you can help thank you!

I can't replicate the bug. Can you provide me TeamViewer access to a system that has this issue?

Sorry man, I finally found a solution who worked with me and Dingosig.

If you have a lot of partition in you hard drive (like C, D, E etc...), just try to move your fightcade folder to the root of other partition.

For example for me : fightcade was in my partition "E" in a folder called "Games", I just moved it to the root of my partition "C" and it work perfectly now.

Dingosig did the same thing (not the same partition as me) and it's good for him too now.

So idk why it work but it is ^^, so my advice is to try to move your fightcade to other partition of your hard drive. (in the root it's better)

Hope it's gonna work for you bye man!
