command weechat not found #332

Sorry if this is stupid but I can't seem to launch weechat. I suppose it is done from the terminal(ubuntu) by typing weechat. I have also tried executing the given pythons scripts. I followed all the instructions just as it is given in the readme file. I am stuck in the step 1 of configuration. I cannot open weechat inorder to load the scripts. someone please help me.

try to sudo apt install weechat
