4 years ago - Plurals and singulars have the same translation in Korean. Explanations for special cases:
- Programming-specific conepts were translated as used widely in the Korean programming community. These include attributes (속성), value (값), session (세션), ID (아이디), online (온라인), root (루트), code (코드), spec (스펙), event (이벤트), runtime (런타임), key (키), module (모듈), controller (컨트롤러), data (데이터), log (로그), index (인덱스), type (형식), execute (실행), parameter (매개변수), preimage (원상), account (계정), network (네트워크)
- Blockchain-specific concepts were translated in accordance to the Korean version of the Ethereum whitepaper (https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/%5BKorean%5D-White-Paper). These include validator (검증자), block (블록), hash (해쉬), nonce (논스), governance (거버넌스), state (상태)
- Government-specific concepts were translated according to the standard Korean transaltion in Korean governmental institutions. These include nominator (지명자), democracy (민주), vote (표), referendum (총선거), proposal (제안), candidacy (출마), motion (발의사항)
- Finance-specific terms were translated according to the standard Korean translation in Korean financial institutions. These include balance (잔액), transaction (거래), deposit (예금), address (주소), treasury (재무부), stake (지분), call (콜), contract (계약서)
- Extrinsic was translated to 외적요인. This is the word clearest in meaning and least likely to cause confusion. Transliterally, it means "outside factor". 외인성 was excluded because it could be confused to mean "quality of a [human] outsider".
- Other words were translated according to their standard translation.
