That is a very long-term feature. And I am not really sure we need it.

Right now polotno is using canvas renderer with the konva framework. As an alternative, we can have an HTML renderer. Some thoughts on their differences

(-) canvas is much simpler to serialize to a raster image, with HTML we may have to use tricks such as html2canvas
(+) HTML render may have much more complex elements, such as embeds, videos, rich text
(-) we will have to implement a lot of functions again. Especially I am worrying about resizing/dragging
(+) HTML renderer can be used in react server
(+) HTML renderer can use the power of CSS and its animations

IMO, Canvas works very good for printable designs and for creating images for social media. There's nothing in CSS that can not be implemented with canvas. TBO, I don't see a usecase for HTML with animations and embedded videos..

There are no plans for an HTML renderer. But I have implemented HTML export.
