This would be really useful and also links with some other suggestions - for example, if one could copy and paste the settings of any screen (similarly to copying notes and instruments) one could also have reverb settings saved in memory and ready to be pasted
I am also interested in user presets for master effects. Reverb and delay would be very practical and would save time. And thank you Polyend for their work
- A chorus can be emulated by resampling a sample, and feeding it to the master delay, which is configured to have a small, less than 100 ms, time duration.
The master delay and reverb can be used for such a countless list of various effects and sound enhancements (e.g. stereo widening) that it does not make sense to enumerate them all.
Hello Jarkko i'm really interested to learn more about emulating chorus or stereo widening with the resampling method. Please, Do you have advices of tutorials about this ?
Resampling is without doubt the main technique to overcome Polyend Tracker's limitations, e.g.
The master delay and reverb can be used for such a countless list of various effects and sound enhancements (e.g. stereo widening) that it does not make sense to enumerate them all.
I'd presume that any person using Tracker heavily , will abuse the master effects in this way, sooner or later. It just makes so many things possible, which would otherwise be impossible. It is analogous to sampling a hardware synth with various settings for a track that you are working on.
In order to allow users to "multiply" the usefulness of these limited resources, and fasten up the tracking workflow, presets for the master reverb and delay should really exist. In other words, there should be a way to store and retrieve settings for these effects.
Right now I use a pencil and notebook to workaround this bottleneck, because otherwise I'll be lost. I usually have environment/mix type of settings for these for feeding some of the signal for percussion's etc. but then I switch from that to temporary settings all the time because I need to resample something with special settings for the master effects.
