Acorn UI refers to modules found within the acornui repo and the associated gradle plugins found in acornui-gradle-plugin.
Given we do not have anything but local maven publishing, this entails quite a few tickets to accomplish the following:
Acorn UI binaries are available via Maven Central
Acorn UI Gradle plugin binaries are available via Poly Forest Bintray repo (convention for plugins that can't be in the central plugin listing or aren't ready for it) and Gradle's plugin listing (if ready for wide audience).
consumer apps can get the latest Acorn UI patches of their preferred version easily.
consumer apps can opt into getting the latest snapshot of Acorn UI.
Acorn UI development, release management, and any other affected areas (publishing &/or deployment) remains simple.
